2008 News & EventsSuccess at Glasgow Lands and Ithaca Scottish Games July 23, 2008 — Feadán Ór had another first place and all around success at the Glasgow Lands Scottish Games! We enjoyed a first placing at the Ithaca games as well. We will compete in Syracuse August 9th and hope our winning streak carries us through. A good score sheet from Alasdair Gilles, this last weekend, should keep us motivated!! Many individuals did an outstanding job too. Matt Weasner scored an "above grade level" in grade 3 Glasgow Lands!! Charlie Zettek also took home a first place ribbon at the Ithaca games as well as third place at Glasgow Lands. Mary Taylor (grade 3), took a second and third prize at the Western Massachusetts games and a third at the Ithaca games. Great job everyone! ![]() Fourth of July Parade
July 04, 2008 — The Feadán Ór Pipe Band, lead by Pipe Major Charlie Zettek, took first place at the Canandaigua 4th of July Parade. We also enjoyed the first place standing at the Clifton Springs Sulpher Festival. Our calendar is full with area appearances as we move through the summer! Excitement is mounting as we start our competition season starting with the Ithaca Scottish Games, held at the Pine Creek Campground, July 12. We will be competing with bands from New York as well as Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Good luck with the competition season, Feadán Ór! ![]() Deb Baldwin and Mary Taylor
March 04, 2008 — Congratulations are in order for pipers Mary Taylor and Deb Baldwin. Both have been upgraded to Grade 3 by the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association for the 2008 season. Solo piping results found Mary and Deb consistently in the prizes this past year which has led to their move to Grade 3. An outstanding accomplishment. Good luck to you both this season. |
